The elastic and plastic properties of a material or product are evaluated at Rota Design to establish actual physical characteristics, specification conformance, or for engineering design purposes. This precise and critical data is obtained in-house using our universal test facilities.
The test results are analysed and input directly into our finite element analysis software packages to provide accurate data for design verification and to predict long term performance under load.
Rota Design produces its own test samples from virgin polymer or derived samples from failed structures where they are used as benchmarks for design improvement. The image shows testing of a neoprean rubber sealing profile for a vacuum chamber project to ensure that the product design tolerances and process capability will ensure assembly and sealing in all permutations of conditions and dimensional variances.
